Our wine reflects a carefully balanced blend of modern wine-making techniques with the artistry, skill, and experience of three generations of Italian-American winemakers.

We produce a very limited amount of our wine in order to maintain our artisan-quality standard, and to enable us to have the opportunity to get to know each of our customers.

 
Traverso Wines
Our objective is make a high-quality, food-friendly wine at the Sonoma winery, using a maximal naturalist / minimal interventionist approach, so that you can taste and experience the natural, ripe, lush flavors and the soft, supple mouth-feel of our wine, and that will complement your food and your dining experience.
 
In order to maintain our artisan high-quality, we produce a limited quantity and selection of red wines each year.  Depending upon our taste-evaluation of the grapes at harvest, we may produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah, or Zinfandel wine.  If we wouldn't serve our wine to our family, we won't sell it to you.

As our Italian grand-parents advised, "Enjoy the wines you like with the foods you like."  However, for those interested in some suggestions, we have developed some food-wine pairings which we think you might enjoy.  We are always expanding our suggestions as we try new recipes, and will share them with you.

We carefully select only grapes from old-growth hillside vineyards with low harvest-yields.  This fruit has intense, ripe, lush flavors and aromas.  We produce a wine that is elegant in style, medium-bodied, moderate in alcohol, infused with the flavors in these grapes, well-balanced, and has a supple mouth-feel.  We invite you to enjoy our wine.
